Water release

September 2, 2014

The Trinity river started increasing it’s flows on Sept. 24th to 2400 cfs. to relieve warm water temperatures in the lower Klamath to protect our indangered fish, (Most of which are bound for the colder waters of the Trinity). As a result it is moving a lot of Salmon and Steelhead staged at the lower Klamath below Blue crk. up the Trinity river to colder water. We should be experiencing some good late summer early fall fishing very soon, especially in the mid to lower Trinity. The Trinity is currently flowing at 950 cfs on it’s way down to 450 cfs. around the 12th of Sept.
